During the season we unfortunately canceled the Bluesfest event which was to feature the great guitarists, Tinsley Ellis and Tom Principato. We hope to bring these fine musicians here in the near future.
However, we were able to bring to the western communities of Palm Beach county a season of high calibre of music that has never been done before for our community. If you like what we are doing and want to bring more great music to our community for the enjoyment of all ages, please support LIVE ARTS FLORIDA.
First we must thank WCHS Theatre and Wellington Community High School including Technical Director, Dennis Schaber and assistant, Nicky Shults. In addition, we are grateful to Dr. Clare Fuller and also to the school janitor, Octavio for their help all season long. Also, we thank Bill Cardullo of Freelance Productions and Fritz Novak among several other companies and individuals for their expertise in sound and light production.
Aside from our paid sound professionals and stagehands, we have utilized a 100% volunteer staff this first season. My wife Shelley has been by my side and very supportive all this project, allowing many hundreds of hours to get it off the ground. My daughter Madeline and son Liam have also helped in setting up our shows. Shelley's sister, Kim has provided incredible artwork for our postcards, rack cards, flyers on a completely volunter basis. Kim's husband Jim has volunteered his time ushering for almost every show. Our family and personal friends have all been very helpful and supportive of this project. Many friends who are interested in promoting the arts in in our community have helped all season long including Leo & Samantha Conroy, Cecil Wray, Fr. Steven & Erin Thomas, Doug Noe, Edwin Morlu, Debbie & Joey Piconcelli, Walt & Georgette Dzubiak, Ken Barnett, Carlos Lisbon, Lynne & Frank Foster and several other volunteers have been of great assistance. Last but not least, we thank season volunteers Marge Carder and Tonya Hamilton.
