Live Arts Florida Announces New Board Member Appointments
Win Blodgett, Founder & Executive Director of the Wellington based performing arts 509a2 non-profit public charity, LIVE ARTS FLORIDA, announced the appointment of several board members. “During our first season we produced nine concerts for our local community with an all volunteer staff. Administratively, it was a lot of work not only to start the company but to produce the events. In order to move forward and grow the organization, we need to get able and willing community members to get involved and bring their talent and passion for the performing arts,” said Blodgett. “I am really pleased that Scott Armand, President of Armand Professional Services, has agreed to be President of Live Arts Florida. Scott and his wife, Mair have had a longstanding interest in the arts and are well respected in our community.”
Blodgett has also appointed Wellington resident, Daniel Sneade as Vice President and Leo Conroy as Secretary. “Danny has an exceptional business background, particularly in banking and finance and also in the political realm. Leo is one of most respected equestrian judges in the United States and was willing to serve Live Arts Florida as Secretary,” said Blodgett.
“I am going to stay on as Treasurer and Director. It’s been necessary to step back and breathe after a major effort last season. I have some new ideas for projects and for ways that we can work synergistically with the Village of Wellington and our surrounding communities. The work that Joe Piconcelli is doing with the Village at the new amphitheater is really great for the community. If you haven’t attended their events, you are missing some good stuff. We want to work hand in hand to help make our great community more vibrant and dynamic.”
“One our initiatives in the coming months will be to form an Advisory Board which will be the real vehicle for getting things done and making it happen,” added Blodgett.
